In Japan, autumn is one of the important events, as the famous “MOMIJI” autumn leaves are in their transitional period. MOMIJI is a sight which attracts locals and tourists from all over the world. In the former imperial city of Kyoto, the admiration of the beauty of nature, as the leaves change colour from green to an overwhelming orange, is a longstanding tradition both in the cities and the mountains.
Enjoying nature’s sights is very important to the Japanese, who also have a similar custom in the spring with the blooming of SAKURA.Apart from being a popular tourist attraction, this orange coloured leaf is almost a symbolic icon, and it is used on packaging, drawings, and not least of all, in cooking.
